Joining T4CIP isn’t just about learning—it’s about becoming a champion for child safety and health, making a real difference, and building a foundation for long-term impact in your medical career.
Why should you get involved?
Medical students, residents, and fellows should join Trainees for Child Injury Prevention (T4CIP) to gain invaluable skills, knowledge, and experience that will set them apart as leaders in child injury prevention. Participants receive:
Specialized Training: T4CIP provides unique, hands-on learning opportunities in child injury prevention, advocacy, and evidence-based practices that aren’t typically covered in medical education.
Mentorship: Participants work closely with experienced mentors who provide guidance, feedback, and support, helping them grow personally and professionally.
Advocacy Skills: The program empowers trainees to turn research into action by equipping them with tools to effectively engage with families, policymakers, and communities.
Collaborative Networking: By connecting with like-minded peers and leaders in the field, trainees expand their professional network, opening doors to future opportunities in injury prevention and public health.
Real-World Impact: Through activities like the Day of Action, trainees make tangible contributions to reducing injuries and improving child safety in their communities.
Professional Development: Participants enhance their communication, leadership, and project management skills, which are essential for success in any medical career.
