Potential Mentors, Experts, & Partners
Potential Mentors & Topic Experts
The T4CIP Steering Committee brainstorms and recommends both experts and mentors each year.
We partner closely with AAP’s COIVPP to identify faculty who may be a good fit to serve 2-year terms as mentors.
Many of our past topic experts and facilitators recommend faculty whom they think would be good fits as mentors and/or experts.
Potential Partners
One of T4CIP’s greatest strengths is facilitating connections between trainees and a diverse range of partners, both within their own institutions and across the country.
Each year, we collaborate with Safe Kids Worldwide and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) to connect our trainees and alumni. Additionally, we establish partnerships with individuals and groups aligned with the focus of our Days of Action. For example:
We partnered with Black Girls Do Bike to create a flier on Natural Hairstyles + Bike Helmets for our #WearAHelmet campaign.
We worked with Dr. Erika Kemp, an OT from the Ohio State University that works with the autism community, to develop A Guide to Finding Swim Lessons for Parents and Caregivers of Children with Disabilities for our drowning prevention campaign.
We worked with Dr. Marilyn Bull, who leads the National Center for Safe Transportation of Children with Special Health Care Needs, to create a variety of materials for our child passenger safety and teen driving safety campaigns.
Let’s Connect!
Whether you are a national, regional, or local organization who wants to partner with us, we’d love to hear from you! Please email Laura Dattner with your ideas and any additional questions and/or ideas.
